Attachment theory is rooted in the groundbreaking work of psychologist John Bowlby. The theory explains how our early bonds with caregivers shape how we connect in adult relationships. These bonds form attachment styles—secure, anxious, avoidant, or disorganized—that affect how we handle intimacy, conflict, and emotional connection.
Understanding your attachment style helps you recognise patterns that may lead to conflict and disconnection. With this knowledge, you can work toward building healthier, more secure relationships. Grounded in decades of research, attachment theory offers valuable insights into how we relate to others.

Understanding Yourself in Relationships:
An Attachment Theory Workshop for Individuals
Ever wondered why relationships feel so hard, even when you want them to work?
Maybe you long for closeness but find yourself pulling away. Or perhaps you give everything and still feel unseen. You might feel anxious waiting for reassurance, or shut down when things get too intense. These patterns aren’t flaws—they’re often rooted in our earliest experiences of love, care, and safety.
This workshop offers a safe, reflective space to gently explore those roots, understand your unique way of relating, and start building the emotional tools you need for deeper connection—both with yourself and with others.

Attachment theory, developed by psychologist John Bowlby, explains how the emotional bonds we form with our earliest caregivers shape the way we connect throughout life. These early experiences influence our attachment style; secure, anxious, avoidant, or disorganised, which in turn affects how we respond to closeness, manage conflict, and seek (or avoid) emotional connection.
For individuals, understanding your attachment style can shine a light on patterns that may be causing pain or disconnection in your relationships—whether romantic, familial, or even friendships. This awareness can help you identify your strengths, recognise triggers, and take steps toward building healthier, more secure connections.
Grounded in decades of research, attachment theory offers a compassionate framework for self-understanding, showing not only why you may feel or react the way you do, but also how you can change patterns that no longer serve you.
